Whether you
are in the process of planning a funeral, pre-planning a funeral, or taking
care of a terminally ill patient, finding a personal Thank You card that
reflects the life, spirit, and essence of your loved can be time consuming and
anxiety producing. Our goal is to encourage you to consider taking the next

DESIGNER and ART INSTRUCTOR
Lynn Early has been a commercial artist for over 30 years. She graduated from the
Fashion Institute of Technology, in Manhattan, N.Y., and worked as a Textile
Designer in both Fashion and Home Design. As a Vice President of Design and
Marketing she traveled extensively in Europe including England, France, Belgium,
Italy, and Germany, researching design and color trends for the American retail
market. She also traveled to Brazil, Hong Kong, India, Taiwan, and China where
she worked with color specialists analyzing and approving colors for various textile
collections. Her collections have sold in various U.S. based stores and catalogs ranging
from Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's to Kohls and Walmart. Her collections have also sold in Europe and South America.
Lynn Early believes art and design instruction should be built upon a foundation of Practical Color Theory. Her hands-on teaching approach allows students to understand the logical flow of the design process regardless of their art or design interest.
Her home office and studio are located in Belleville, New Jersey.

COLOR THEORY WORKSHOPS - SUPPLIES PROVIDED
Discovering color through the 3 vital color mixing attributes is the primary focus of Practical Color Theory. These 3 attributes, value, chroma, and hue, are explored extensively in a hands-on teaching style coupled with an array of examples from the fine arts to present day commercial art. The workshops teach students how to analyze color, match colors precisely, paint color combinations, critique fellow students work while using the language of the art and design fields, and to complete projects that demonstrate their understanding of color in all its subtleties.
In addition this class develops competency in various art and design skills such as: handling different types of art brushes, transferring designs, using matting tools, and preparing portfolio pages.
Students who plan to make a living in the art and design professions will begin to master the often exacting color requirements of these professions. Students who enjoy art will improve their ability to see and mix specific colors. After completion of Practical Color Theory Workshops students will develop a new appreciation for color and a confidence that even the subtlest of colors can be mixed through patience and diligence.
